  • Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad — Established in 1926, it is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious examination boards for classical music and dance. Its certifications are widely recognized for their rigor and authenticity, offering students a pathway to structured learning and national recognition.

    Exam Grades and Levels:

    Praveshika: Elementary or beginner grade
    Junior Diploma: First and Second Year
    Senior Diploma: Third and Fourth Year
    Graduate Level (Sangit Prabhakar): Fifth and Sixth Year
    Praveen / Sangeetacharya: Seventh and Eighth Year 

 

 

Sarbabharatiya Sangeet & Sanskriti Parishad, Kolkata — A cultural body & Exam board, formally recognized by Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. This affiliation emphasizes the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore, blending academic excellence with cultural depth. It highlights the institution’s commitment to nurturing the arts in alignment with Tagore’s vision of holistic education and artistic expression.

Legacy of Sangeet Gurugriha

HISTORY

Founded in 2014 in Bengaluru, Sangeet Gurugriha Academy of Performing Arts began with just four Bharatanatyam and three Hindustani vocal students under the guidance of Mr. & Mrs. Das. Rooted in dedication and cultural vision, the academy quickly flourished — reaching 55 students within six months and 100 within its first year.

Examinations were initially conducted under Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prachin Kala Kendra, in association with Talchakra Musical College, West Bengal. Within three years, the academy earned direct affiliation with Prayag Sangeet Samiti and Sarbabharatiya Sangeet‑O‑Sanskriti Parishad, recognized by Rabindra Bharati University, marking a milestone of national recognition.

Today, Sangeet Gurugriha stands as a trusted institution with over 400 active students and 21 expert faculty members, offering structured learning in music, dance, and fine arts. With a blend of tradition and innovation, the academy continues to shape aspiring artists worldwide, nurturing creativity, discipline, and cultural excellence.
